Llynfi Afan Renewable Energy Park
Siemens Gamesa asked us to help secure approval for the Llynfi Afan Renewable Energy Park in South Wales, providing energy for almost 15,000 homes. This was their first project in the UK and proposals for onshore wind can often be contentious.
Through a combination of intensive local consultation and engagement with politicians at the Welsh Assembly, Siemens Gamesa ultimately received approval for the renewable energy park, which has been operational since 2017.
Because of our success and dedication, Siemens Gamesa appointed our team to work on a number of other projects on their behalf and this relationship has now lasted 11 years. This work has included managing the company’s portfolio of remaining assets, as well as engaging with the UK Parliament during the passage of the 2016 Energy Act.
