The Crown Estate wanted to build 230 new homes in Lay Wood, Devizes.
At the time, the site was not identified in Wiltshire’s emerging Local Plan and a competing site had already been submitted that was several months ahead of The Crown Estate’s planning programme. Quatro’s work changed that.
By effective and targeted engagement with the Town Council, we positioned the development as the better option of the two proposals for the town. This was supported by a comprehensive consultation process, which allowed the community to buy-in to the proposals.
As a result of our work, the application was unanimously approved at Planning Committee and the competing scheme was refused.
