Planning success in Newham
Newham Council’s Strategic Development Committee has given unanimous planning permission to Marlin Hotels’ proposals for a 412-room hotel at 111-131 Angel Lane, Stratford, London E15 1PE.
As part of Marlin’s professional team, Quatro organised and managed a public consultation programme to gain the comments of local residents and businesses, as well as briefing local ward Councillors.
The locally-listed Railway Tavern Public House will remain operational throughout the development programme and will be enhanced as part of the proposals. In addition, the new hotel will create 143 new jobs. Also, Marlin will create and manage an open biodiversity area on land currently in the ownership of London Borough of Newham, next to the rail tracks.
It was great to be part of a professional team led by Jeff Field of Head of London Planning at BNP Paribas Real Estate and Brian O’Neil of Cantrell Crowley architects
This latest hotel planning success builds on Quatro’s recent hotel planning consents for the former Central Saint Martin’s site in Holborn for Globalgrange Hotels https://quatro-pr.co.uk/blog/planning-success-in-camden-as-consent-given-for-the-restoration-and-refurbishment-of-the-former-central-saint-martin’s-building-in-holborn and at the corner of Putney Bridge Road/Putney High Street for Governside in Wandsworth https://quatro-pr.co.uk/blog/planning-success-in-putney.
